Zachary E. Stayner, 21 of Prospect passed away unexpectedly on Saturday November 26, 2016. Zach was born March 19, 1995 in Marion to the late Richard “Aaron” Stayner and Michelle (Taylor) Roshon of Prospect. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by brother Blake Stayner and maternal grandfather William Taylor.
Zach is also survived by step father Brian Roshon; maternal grandmother “Mom” Sue Taylor of Nashville, TN; paternal grandparents Jackie Mathews of Cardington and Rick Stayner of Marion; brother Will Stayner; sister Chloe Roshon; step sisters Brittni Horn, Tiffani and Kaysi Roshon; aunts Jodi (Chris) Hopper, Billie Jo Simmers, Jennifer (John) Low, Courtney (Josh) Harp, Adrean Mathews, and Carrie (Craig) Evert; uncle Jay (Meghan) Taylor, who was like a second father; special cousin Harley Stayner; best friends Nate Gordon and Tru Payne Roberts; as well as numerous great aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Zach graduated from Ridgedale H.S. in 2014 where he excelled in Football, being the first in 20 years to rush for over 1000 yards his senior year. He was First Team All Conference. An Avid Michigan fan, Zach enjoyed being with his friends and having fun. He always did for others and put them first before himself. Zach had a smile that lit up the room and made everyone feel like a friend. Zach enjoyed listening to music, especially Elton John, Pokeman, Video games, and his pet dog “Cinder”.
A Celebration of Zach’s life will be held on Saturday Dec. 3, 2016 at 3:00 pm in Ridgedale H.S. with Pastor Troy Kline officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until the time of service. The family suggests memorials be made to a Scholorship Fund (to be set up) for Ridgedale H.S. athletics.
