William “Bill” E. Harper, 63 of Marion passed away on Tuesday February 7, 2023 at Marion General Hospital following an extended illness. Bill was born March 16, 1959 in Marion, OH to the late Barbara (Harper) Lemaster-Barnett. He was married February 16, 1990 to Shirley (McIntire) Harper who survives.
In addition to Bill’s wife, he is survived by children Christopher Harper of Springfield, Missouri, Timothy (Monica) McIntire of Marion, and Dustyn Harper of Marion; grandchildren Hayden, Makinzie, Tyler, Chloe, and Brynlee,; brother Zac (Julie) Harless of Marion; sisters Debbie (Jimmy) Gattshall of Marion, Priscilla (Dana) Kincade of Bucyrus, and Jacqueline Lemaster of Marion; several nieces and nephews (special bond with great nephew Ethan), he is also survived by his brother and sister in laws- Linda , Tammy, Jimmy (Kay), Mike (Tamara) and many more family and friends. Also can't forget his fur babies Chloe and Remmi. Preceded in death by mother in law Ada McIntire, brother in laws Tommy, Gary and Jim Arnett and a niece Echo.
Bill retired from Whirlpool in 2007 after working 32 years. In his younger years he was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren Makinzie and Hayden. Makinzie was definitely Pap's little girl. Bill always had a great sense of humor. He had a kind heart and was always there to help when he could. He will be greatly missed by all, especially his wife Shirley. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday February 11, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the Enterprise Baptist Church, Marion with Rev. Jim McIntire officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. Expressions of sympathy can be left at
