Dell was born in Georgetown South Carolina, a place that was always near and dear to his heart.  He loved being near the ocean, it was a place that brought him great joy.  Dell spent 4 years in the United States Navy where he joined the ranks as Sea Bee, which only deepened his love of the Ocean.  In addition to the ocean and his hometown, Dell had many other interests.   Dell had a great passion for photography.  He had a way with the photographic lens that would catch the attention of all those who saw it.  Dell always had a camera in his hands.  He loved taking photographs of his family, wildlife and the moon and stars.  Dell loved music; he was always singing.  He would take videos of himself singing, he had a beautiful voice.  Dell was also a diehard football fan, he could always be found rooting for his favorite team: The South Carolina Game Cocks.
Dell was proceeded in death by his parents Nell (Thomas) Reed and Carl Reed, and his grandson James Auxier.  He leaves behind his Wife, Wanda (Endicott) Reed, and his two daughters: Melissa (Raymond) Menefee and Donna (Allen Small) Marlow and 4 step children: Lora (Charles) Bassett, Jennifer (Pat) Cline, George (Georgette) Auxier and John (Ruby) Auxier.  One of Dell’s greatest joys was his grandchildren: Travis, Claire, Kaleigh, McKenzie, Kaleb, Kya, Tyler, Lily, Nicki, Tiffany, John, Sam, Jennifer Jayne, Trever, Maria, John David, Suzanne, and Jarred.  Great Grandchildren: Ellie, Camilyn, Caleb, Cade, Jayden, Kyle, Johnny, Thackery and Alexis.  Dell had 4 siblings.  Cathy Reed, Cheryl Johnson, Karen (Carlos) Casas, and Kevin (Liz) Reed.
