Wayne N Mahoney

Wayne N. Mahoney, age 78 of Marion, passed away February 8, 2017 at his residence. Wayne was born March 6, 1938 to the late Norman Mahoney and Hazel (Bish) Mahoney. He married Judy Sharrock April 7, 1972, whom currently resides in Marion.
Mr. Mahoney is survived by two sons and a daughter, Steve (Margaret) Mahoney of Michigan, Jodi (Randy) Lucas of Marion, and David Mahoney of Akron; six grandchildren; one brother, Douglas (Jan) Sampson; three sisters, Delcie Leemaster, Wanda Taylor, and Kay (John) Caldwell. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Allan Sampson; daughter, Cara Grimm; and a grandchild.
Wayne retired from Kroger after 10 years of service. Prior to this, he worked at Eagle Crusher in Galion and the Marion County Auditor's Office. He enjoyed golfing, cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Three Stooges and Archie Bunker shows, and playing with his dog, Ziggy. Mr. Mahoney will be remembered for his great sense of humor.
Services will be private. Affordable Cremations Services of Ohio is entrusted with Mr. Mahoney's arrangements.
