Wanda J. Culwell, 69 of Marion passed away on Monday December 10, 2018 at Marion General Hospital. Wanda was born March 9, 1949 in Clifford, KY to the late Millard and Lona (Salmons) Hughes. She was married December 24, 1967 to Kenneth Culwell who survives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister Maxine Beekman and brother Bernard Hughes.
Wanda is also survived by children Kathy (David) Needels of Mt. Victory, Larry Culwell of Morral, and Tina (Patrick) Frye of Marion; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, brother Nelson Hughes of Marion, and sisters Jewell Ward of Marion and Bertha Shappard of Lakeview, OH.
Wanda lived most of her life in area and graduated from Elgin H.S. She was a member of Marion Enterprise Baptist Church where she was active with church activities. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday December 15 at 11:00 am in the Enterprise Baptist Church with Pastor Jim McIntire officiating, burial will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. The family suggests any memorial contributions be made to the church and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.cremationservicesofohio.com
