Virgil R. Rosebrough age 73 of Caledonia died at his residence on Apr. 28, 2021. He was born on Feb. 7, 1948 in Marion to the late John and Evelyn (Brown) Rosebrough. Virgil married Geneva Lewis and she preceded him in death.
He is survived by sons Virgil “Butch” (Angie Marr) Rosebrough of Marion, Paul (Barb) Rosebrough of Marion and a daughter Michelle (Ken) Spiegel, of Marion, grandchildren Hayden, Kade, Hunter, Boston, Cooper, Felicia, James “B.J.” , Justin, Taylor, Dravin, Jordan, Brandon, Tony, Matthew, Payton, Kameron, Daniel, Shaney, Heather, Danielle,
18 great grandchildren, a brother Dale Rosebrough and a sister Pat (Ted) Pfarr. He is preceded in death by daughters Dawn Rosebrough, Tonya Hubley, grandson Holden Rosebrough, brother John Rosebrough Jr.
Virgil was a truck driver and retired from the business. He was a member of Olde Corner Church, Marion.
In his youth he enjoyed playing baseball and passed his love for the sport down to his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events. Virgil was known for standing his ground and being an excellent debater. He will be sadly missed by all.
Funeral services will held on Mon. May 3, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Olde Corner Church 287 S. State St. Marion, OH 43302 with Pastor Regan Hensel officiating. Burial will follow in Grand Praire Cemetery. Visitation will held at the church from 5-8:00 p.m. on Sun. May 2, 2021.
