Violet A. Jones, 87 of Marion passed away on Saturday October 1, 2016 at Marion Point nursing facility. Violet was born January 8, 1929 in Yancey Co., North Carolina to the late Molt and Mammie (Johnson) Bailey. She was married for over 60 years to Carney Jones who preceded her in death in 2007. She was also preceded in death by son John Jones and daughter Deborah (Doug) McCloskey.
Violet is survived by two sons, Bill (Bonnie) Jones of Westerville and Donn (Constance) Jones of Marion; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Violet was a homemaker and lived in Marion most of her life.
Private burial will be held in Grand Prairie Cemetery at Brush Ridge. Affordable Cremation Services of Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements.
