Vincent E Reed

Vinny Reed age 54 of Marion, OH passed away at his residence surrounded by his beloved
family on Sunday August 27, 2023. He was born on April 2, 1969 in Marion, OH to Bullet Bob
and Carol (Pearson) Reed. Vinny married his bride of 27 years and love of his life Kristin
(Wilson) Reed on February 9, 1996 in Las Vegas, inspired by their first date where Vinny
brought over the movie Honeymoon in Vegas.
Vinny is survived by his devoted bride Kristin of Marion, loving daughters Khayla (Jordan) Sill
of North Carolina, Karington Reed (Chase Bigham) of Massachusetts, mother Carol Reed of
Marion, grandbabies AKA lights of his life Warren and William Sill, favorite sister “sis” Robyn
(Bart) Hooper of Marion, and his beloved companion Tucker. He is preceded in death by his
father Bullet Bob Reed and cherished Grandma Deloris (Del) Pearson.
Vinny was a proud 1987 graduate of Tri Rivers and Harding High School, he worked as an
Account Executive at Service Spring Corporation in Toledo, OH. He was honored to serve on
the Marion Popcorn Festival board as Vice President and Music Coordinator. Vinny was known
for his daily inspirational posts on Facebook where he would share his prayer for the day.
Vinny’s passion for music and live performances led him to attend 100’s of concerts with friends
and family and acquire an extensive collection of all genres of music. He especially loved U2
and had the opportunity to take each one of his girls to their shows on different occasions. In
addition, Vinny, Kristin, Khayla, and Karington shared a mutual love for Third Eye Blind which
became the family’s favorite band. Over the past 20 years they have seen 20+ Third Eye Blind
shows together.
To say Vinny was a proud Papa would be an understatement. Some of his favorite times were
spent taking his boys to the park, finishing the day visiting one of the local ice cream shops, and
watching a movie with popcorn and candy.
A special thank you to Aunt Linda Williams, Aunt Jeri Hargis, and Robyn Hooper for their love,
compassion, and many trips to and from Wyandot Memorial Hospital for the past year. Our
family is so grateful for the outpouring of love and support. There are so many people who hold
a special place in Vinny’s heart and so many people whose lives he has touched. We will forever
have a hole in our hearts and Vinny will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 10th, 2023 at the OK Cafe located at
734 E Center St, Marion, OH 43302 from 1pm-5pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to Kristin Reed to help with expenses and set up a
scholarship fund in Vinny’s name.
