Thomas Paul Jolliff, 74 of Marion, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday July 31, 2019 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus following a brief illness. Thomas was born March 12, 1945 in Marion to the late Ernest P. and Lily M (Riffee) Jolliff. He married Deborah (VanGorden) Jolliff on January 6, 1979 who survives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Sandra Sue Rosica.
Thomas is also survived by children Marc (Lori) Jolliff of Buford, GA; Kelly Jolliff of Columbus; Michael (Lynae Gantt) Jolliff ; Jason (Brett) Jolliff; and Matthew Jolliff all of Marion; grandchildren Griffin, Brandon, Kyle, and Taryn; as well as great grandchildren Gracynn and Beckham.
Thomas worked very hard for his family first for 33 1/2 years with Bob Grover at Power Manufacturing in Marion and then for 15 years at Covert Manufacturing in Galion, retiring in 2011. He graduated from Harding High School in 1963. Thomas was a die hard fan of the Cleveland Browns and Indians. He loved fishing, playing pool and poker, horseshoes and watching Western movies. Tom loved sitting outside watching the sun sets. Most of all Tom loved his children, grandchildren and spending time with his family.
Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday 8/7/2019 from 4pm - 6pm in the Central Baptist Church, 2816 Marion-Waldo Road with Pastor Matthew VanGorden officiating. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the account of Matthew and Stephanie VanGorden through Village missions at 699 E.
