Susie Kathryn Dale (Slone) Gibson age 46 of Prospect, died at the Kobacker House on January 11, 2019 after her courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on April 30, 1972 in Marysville, Ohio to the Dover Slone and Betty Jo Thacker
She was a 1990 graduate of North Union School. From there her life was changed by Kmart’s blue light special. She was a door greeter at Kmart and her soon to be husband worked in the Automotive Dept. Susie married Mark Gibson July 1, 1991 and he survives in Prospect.
Surviving are her two beautiful children son Anthony (Tiffany) Gibson, daughter Kaitlyn (Chris) Daso Gibson, granddaughter Delilah Gibson, mother Betty (Theodore) Troesch, brother Dover Rontego (Kim) Slone, step grandson Ty Daso and Ryan Daso, a special niece Marissa (Lucas) Shuster, nephews Gavin and Ian Slone, her dashund Raelynn known as the red headed step daughter. She was preceded in death by her father.
Susie was blessed with her dream job with the United States Postal Service. She was grateful for everything that came her way and lived life to the fullest. Susie loved being around family and friends and embraced love, joy and happiness.
Visitation will be held on Friday January 18, 2019 from 11am to 1pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church 135 Fairview St. Marion, OH 43302. Services will follow at 1pm also at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to the Marion County Humane Society. Affordable Cremation & Funeral Services of Ohio were entrusted with Susie arrangements.
