Shirley Ann (Tanner) Boggs

Shirley Ann (Tanner) Boggs, 69 of Willard and formerly of Marion passed away on Monday February 6, 2017 at the Willow’s at Willard Health Care. Shirley was born August 18, 1947 in Marion to the late Ray Tanner and Edith M. (Benson) Bill. She was formerly married to Robert Douglas Bowling of Cardington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother Pete Wade and sister Phyllis Foreman.
Shirley is also survived by son Douglas Bowling of Greencamp; granddaughter Hannah N. Bowling; 2 great grandchildren Warren and Eli; brother Harold “Butch” Tanner of Lehigh Acres FL and sister Lourdeen O’Connor of Jacksonville, FL.
Shirley was a graduate of Harding High School in 1966. She moved from Marion to the Willard area 20 years ago. A homemaker, Shirley attended the Willard Church of the Nazarene.
A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday February 10, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the Celebration Christian Church, 2434 Smeltzer Rd., Marion. Affordable Cremation Services of Ohio, 1701 Marion Williamsport Rd. is assisting with arrangements.
