Shirley May Friley

Shirley May Friley, 63, of Marion passed away on Saturday June 25, 2022 at Doctor’s Hospital in Columbus following a brief illness. Shirley was born November 4, 1958 in Marion, Oh to the late George and Mollie (Bowen) Young. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Cecil Eugene Friley Jr., daughter Krista May Friley, and siblings.
Shirley is survived by daughter Sonja Friley of Marion; son Daniel Friley of Marion; 16 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and sister Jenny Parr.
Shirley was a graduate of Marion Harding High School in 1976 and was a lifelong Marion resident. A homemaker, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 PM in the Be Ministries Church, Marion with Pastor Mike Green officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Affordable Cremation Services of Ohio is assisting the family arrangements.
