Sharon Kay Lower

Sharon Kay Lower, age 69 of Marion, Ohio passed away peacefully on May 20, 2024 with family by her side at Embassy of Marion. Sharon was born on November 18, 1954 and was a 1972 graduate of River Valley High School. She is preceded in death by her parents Phylliss V. Thacker and Clinton R. Lower and a brother-in-law Lee McCafferty.
Sharon enjoyed watching television and coloring, but her favorite pastime was doing word search puzzles. She loved when her family visited and brought her snacks of all kinds. She had a great sense of humor and was always up for a good laugh or joke. Sharon was a connoisseur of fast food, especially cheeseburgers and frostys.
She is survived by sisters, Kathy McCafferty and Shelly (Terrence) Jones, a brother,
Jay (Francis) Lower, nephews Shawn McCafferty and Ian (Meg) Lower, nieces Aviana Greene, Shealana Booker, Laurie (Terry) Davis and Susie Miller, and great-nephew Griffin Lower. Sharon had a heart for animals, especially dogs and is survived by JoJo, a special four-legged friend. She will be greatly missed by us all.
The family will have a private graveside service at a later date. Family suggests any memorial contributions be made to Embassy of Marion at 175 Community Drive, Marion Ohio.
