Seleta A Austin

Seleta Anne Austin, age 81 of Marion, OH passed peacefully with family by her side on April 11, 2025, at her home. She was born October 8, 1943, to the late Charles A and Lenora M (Scott) Belknap in Seattle, WA. Seleta married Harold V Austin on September 10, 1966, who still survives in Marion. 

Seleta is also survived by daughter Heather (Paul) Ghalioungui Sims of Whitefish, MT, son, Jason (Laura) Austin of Barre, MA, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, her brother William (Sue) Belknap of UT, extended family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Charlene Belknap. She is mourned by all whose spirits were raised by her generosity and gift of encouragement.

Seleta was a 1961 Lincoln High School graduate (Seattle), and went on to attend Washington State University. She flourished as a homemaker, wife and mother and loved Jesus Christ above all else. She was known for her warmth, resilience and generous spirit. Seleta touched the lives of many with her kindness. Seleta has lived in Marion for 25 years and attended New City Fellowship Church in Marion She enjoyed spending time with her family , visiting, gardening, knitting, cooking and bird watching.
