Sarah M. McEntire

Sarah M. McEntire age 82 of Marion, died at the Embassy of Marion on Saturday Jan. 22, 2022. She was born Feb. 3, 1939 in Pittsylvania Co., VA to the late Ocie C. and Nellie J. (Payne) Betterton. She married James A. McEntire, he preceded her in death.

Surviving are daughters Cindy McEntire of Galena and Susan McEntire of Marion, grandchildren Julia Pennington and Andrea (Lucas) Schertzer, great grandchildren Julien Ladd, Gracie Degood, Bailey Schertzer,Whitney Schertzer, brother Ocie Betterton and a sister Malissa Haben. She is preceded in death by a son-in-law Rodney Pennington and 7 siblings.

Sarah was member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Marion. She was a clerk at Marion License Bureau, a laborer at Hancock Growth, Marion and a manger at Colonial Laundromat before retiring. Sarah loved to play BINGO and go gamble with her son-in-law. She had deep affection, respect and loyalty to her family.

Celebration of Life will be held Sunday January 30, 2022 from 2pm-4:30pm at Dayspring Wesleyan Church 2431 Marion Mt. Gilead Rd. Marion, OH 43302.
