Sarah L Almendinger (Roop)

Sarah L. Almendinger (Roop), age 62, was born January 24, 1954 and changed worlds on December 3, 2016. Active member- First Church of Nazarene in Marion, Ohio. She lived in Florida for a time where she was hired on the security staff and promoted to Personal Assistant to management at a major resort. Retired from Whirlpool Corp with 10 years of service.
Preceded in death by parents Charles and Berneta Roop, rural Crawford County, and husband, Howard Koehler from Caledonia, Ohio. Survived by her two children, Mary (Koehler) Jones (Sam Jr.) and another daughter, both Indiana residents; 4 grandchildren; one sister, Rebecca (Roop) Jackson (Robert) in Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, James Roop (Alicia) and Stephen Roop (Dorsie) both Indiana residents. Marvin Almendinger, life companion of 18 years; and one uncle, Paul Roop in rural Bucyrus; nieces, nephews, other family, and dear friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 2:00pm at the First Church of Nazarene, 233 W. Church street, Marion, Ohio 43302. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be mailed to Rebecca Jackson, 1841 Misty Way, Columbus, Ohio to defray expenses due to her untimely death.
