Ruth Ann Adams age 77 of Marion, passed away at ProMedica Skilled Nursing & Rehab of Marion on September 22, 2021. She was born on August 27, 1944 in Wyandot Co. to the late Glen and Mary Louise (Store) Criswell.
Surviving is her husband Richard “Buzz” Adams, children Don (Brenda) Adams of Marion, Ron (Angie) Adams of Marion, Doug (Regi) Adams of Texas, Betsy (Joe) Hickman of Marion and Rich Adams of California, 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Surviving are also her siblings Fred (Eva) Criswell and John Criswell. She is preceded in death by a brother Roger Criswell.
Ruth was a member of the Waldo United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Waldo High School class of 1964, which happened to be the last year for Waldo High School. Ruth retired from Whirlpool where she worked for 35 years in the stamping and press room. In her free time she enjoyed bowling and was a big animal lover at heart. She had several pets over the years such as a peacock, pot belly pigs, geese, chickens, rabbits, cats, horses and dogs. She especially loved all of the different dogs they had over the years. Ruth was a very caring and loving woman who knew no stranger. She always would find a way to connect with you. She will truly be missed by all those that she touched.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday October 13, 2021 from 4-6pm at Waldo United Methodist Church 141 South Marion St. Waldo, OH 43356. Pastor Jerry Frazee will have a brief service for Ruth at 4:00 p.m. This will be followed by a gathering of friends and family until 6:00pm. Please join the famly in this tribute to Ruth. Memorial donations may be made to ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) or the Donors Choice. Affordable Cremation Services of Ohio have been entrusted the arrangements for the family.
