Robert H Davenport

Robert H. Davenport 67, of Marion, OH formerly of Columbus, OH died on Sept. 6, 2021 at Marion General Hospital. He is survived by his mother Martha Jean (Hummell) Davenport of Lakeland, FL formerly of Columbus, OH, He is survived by his sister Pamela Routt of Delaware, OH two half-brothers David Phillips and Daniel Phillips, one half sister Gaynell Phillips Pearce, all of NC, two aunts and an uncle, nephews Brian and Chad Routt and Timothy and Kevin O’Brien, great nieces Lydia Blaney, Asia Routt, and Chelsea Routt, great nephew Vincent Routt, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He graduated in 1971 from Beaufort High School, Beaufort, SC.

Mr. Davenport was of the Methodist Faith.

As a child he liked imitating and dressing like Popeye, riding his bicycle, playing baseball and collecting baseball cards. As an adult he enjoyed watching baseball, football and basketball on TV, listening to the Beatles, drinking coffee and reading the newspaper. He especially liked the New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals. Robert was a very polite and respectful man.
