Rebecca Ann Parsons age 39 of Marion, passed at Marion General Hospital on January 24, 2021. She was born on June 23, 1981 in Delaware, OH to Samuel and Angela (Harris) Parsons. She married Melvin Shack on May 2, 2008.
Along with her parents and husband surviving in Marion is a son Tyrell Shack, brothers Steven (Jangyo) Parsons, Westerville, Jeremy (Jamie) Parsons, Galion, nieces Jayda, Jerzy and Julia.
Rebecca was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Marion. She was an animal care giver and her service dog Tate accompanied her to the hospital on several occasions. Rebecca enjoyed animals, watching animal rescue videos, visiting the zoo and shopping. She collected stuffed animals and squishmallos. Rebecca had a great support network and appreciated the online support groups and people.
A memorial mass will be held at a later date in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Marion. Memorial contributions in Rebecca's name may be made to Villalobos Rescue Center Po Box 771127 New Orleans, LA 70177 or any other pet rescue facility.
