Patty Ann Daniels

Patty Ann Daniels, 74, currently of Marion OH and a resident of Oakwood Virginia for many years, passed away on Tuesday June 16, 2020 at Marion General Hospital. Patty was born November 27, 1945 in Richlands, Virginia to the late James Boyd and Gertrude (Bradley) Grizzle. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sister Bobbi Shortridge and brother Jim Grizzle.
Patty is survived by sons Josh (Danielle) Daniels and Lonnie (Susan) Daniels both of Marion; grandchildren Bo, Lyra, and Della; sisters Mary Hancock of Chattanooga, TN and Thelma Sheets of Valparaiso, IN; as well as nieces and nephews.
Patty moved to Marion in November of last year from Oakwood Virginia. Before retirement Patty owned the used mining uniform shop in Oakwood called “The Miner's Friend”. She revered her association with the coal mining community and coal miners. Patty loved the Lord and attended many churches to share that love. She was also an accomplished freelance writer authoring many articles and books.
A graveside service will be held for Patty at a later date. Expressions of sympathy can be left at cremationservicesofohio.com.
