Othel David "Dave" Hamm

Othel David "Dave" Hamm, 81 of Galion passed away on Sunday July 19, 2020 at his home with family and friends surrounding him. Dave was born November 13, 1938 in Marion to the late Hobart and Isabelle (Jacobs) Hamm. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his love of his life Liddien "Louise" Baer Akers; 1 grandson, 2 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters; sister Bernice Jorden; and seven brothers Roy, Jimmy, Carl, Dale, Robert, Herman, and Harold Hamm.

Dave is survived by sons James (Debbie) Hamm of Marion, Othel David Hamm II of Galion, Bobbie Hamm of Marion, Garold Hamm of Plain City, OH; daughters Billie Jo (Jeff Germano) Jenkins and Vikki (Ron) Jenkins both of Galion, Debbie Jorden of Marion, and Debbie Hamm of Galion; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister Susan Murphy and one brother Marion Hamm both of Marion, as well as many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly and he loved as well.

Dave enjoyed the Ohio Lottery, spending time with his kids and grand-kids and many nieces and nephews. He loved living with his daughter Billie Jo Jenkins. Dave was the life of the party. He was an great babysitter and loved to help people out, enjoyed gardening and painting. Dave worked for Hamm's Rubbishing for many years and also Pete Miller's Roofing and Pollock Steel.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the Enterprise Baptist Church, 130 Orton St., Marion, OH. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made through Affordable Cremation and Funeral Services of Ohio, 1701 Marion Williamsport Rd., Marion to help defray expenses.
