Nicole Lynn Cook

Nicole Lynn Cook, 32 of Marion passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday March 15, 2022 in Marion. Nicole was born July 5, 1989 in Lawton, Oklahoma to James Mergy Jr. and Deborah (Heiser) Mergy both of Marion. In addition, she is survived by her step mother Shelly Mergy; children Andrew Hammons Jr., Julius, Iris, and Serenity Cook; grandparents Julia Mergy of Van Wert and Marvin Smith of Marion; and sisters Kristi Luich of Van Wert, Shawna Mergy of Van Wert, Amber (Brady) Stevens of Decatur, IN, and Sami-Kay and Dani Mergy both of Marion.
Nicole graduated from Van Wert High School in 2007 and was a homemaker and mother. She enjoyed spending time with her children and family. Her children meant everything to her. She loved reading, audio books, and music. Loved the serenity prayer as it has got her through a lot of tough times in her life. She was extremely kind hearted, generous, and would do anything for anyone.
Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday March 22, at 1:00 pm in the Bridge Community Church, 1403 Winchester Rd., Decatur, IN with Dave Fox officiating. Burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert, OH. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 noon until the time of the service. In Lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made in the form of contributions to James Mergy Jr. for care for Nicole's 4 children.
