Michael Steven Henderson

Michael Steven Henderson, 66, passed away Saturday morning, September 24, 2016 at Marion General Hospital from complications of COPD. Mike was born November 17, 1949 to Laura (Peat) Maniaci in Springfield, Illinois. His family moved to Marion, Ohio where he was raised and attended Harding High School. Mike entered the Navy in March of 1969 and did a tour in Vietnam on the Naval ship the USS Higbee.
Mike owned various pizza shops throughout the Marion, Prospect, Richwood and Bucyrus areas. He enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, playing the lottery, cooking and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother and his infant son, Clay Henderson.
He is survived by his children Michael (Crystal) Henderson of Boardman, Ohio, Whitney Henderson of Cincinnati, Ohio and Nevin Henderson of Marion, Ohio; his grandchildren Taylor and Jordyn of Boardman, and Ava and Denver of Cincinnati; and his siblings James Henderson of Marion, Janet (the late Rex) Riner of Dayton, Marsha (Dale) Wilkinson of Marion, Sierra Wilde of Austin, Texas, Susan Henderson of Marion, Patricia (Mike) Badertscher of Marion, Diane (Rocky) Fox of Morral, and many nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service was held on Saturday, September 24, and arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Affordable Cremations of Ohio.
