Melvin T. Shack Jr. age 38 of Marion died at his residence on Mar. 2, 2021.
He was born Apr. 1, 1982 in Marianna, FL to Melvin Sr. and Faith (Daniels) Shack Dunston. His father is deceased, his mother survives in Marianna, FL. He married Rebecca Parsons on May 2, 2008, she preceded him in death on Jan. 24, 2021. Mr. Shack is survived by a son Tyrell Shack, KY, paternal grandmother Mary Alice Barnes, FL, maternal grandmother Erma Daniels, FL, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Samuel & Angela Parsons, Marion, sisters Shan Tolsch, Rebecca Laster, Emral Royster and Lari Dunston all of FL. He is preceded in death by a brother Jeremy Keys and a sister Falisha Shack.
His hobbies included working on computers and shooting. Mr. Shack worked at Office Depot in Marion for 12 years and had multiple roles. Melvin was one of the top salesman in tech sales for multiple years, he was an interim general manager for Westerville, he started as a stock person and moved his way up within the company. Melvin traveled to other stores and assisted with training their tech sales people, he was supervisor of copy and print, was an assistant manager, district services manager and sales supervisor. His specialty was helping everyone that came through the door and putting smiles on their faces. No one did it better.
A graveside prayer service and burial will be held on Fri. Apr. 9, 2021 at 11:00 am in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
