Max A. Crane, 72 of Marion passed away on Monday July 10, 2017 at home. Max was born May 25, 1945 in Olney, ILL to the late Charles and Genevieve (Lathrop) Crane. He was married May 22, 1966 to Sharon Kay (Miller) Crane who survives. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son Richard Dale Crane and brothers Robert and Victor.
Max is also survived by daughters Dianna Sue Au and Amberla (Keith Frank) Summers of Iberia; ten grandchildren including Donovan (Krystal) Summers, Natasha Summers, and Zachary Summers; 2 sisters Vera and Ruth Ann; as well as 2 brothers Mike and Junior.
Max served as a Marine in Vietnam and was with the first group to go overseas. He retired after 29 years as a welder with Fairfield Engineering. One of Max’s hobbies was playing bingo.
