Mary Ellen Hughes

Mary Ellen Hughes, age 68, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family November 27, 2022. Mary was born to the late James and Betty (White) Barlow March 29, 1954, in Marion Ohio. Mary was married to Rod Hughes February 29, 1972. Mary is preceded in death by her parents.
Mary is survived by husband Rod Hughes; daughters, Amy (Chris) Heydinger and Amber (Mike) Marmol; grandchildren, Austin (Jan’et Lugo) Heydinger, Kali (Andy) Rehm, Hunter Fackler, and Kelsey Fackler; great-grandchild, Karmen Heydinger; siblings, Judy (John) Hopkins, Jerry (Barb) Barlow, Barbara Seckel, Rocky (Brenda) Barlow, Jeff (Georgie) Barlow, and Janice Belford.
Mary worked at Whirlpool in Marion Ohio from 1970-1980. She then went on to work at Wilson Bohannan until she retired. Mary was into traveling from time to time, she loved doing word searches, and genealogy was very important to her. She will be deeply missed.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 2pm-4pm at the FOP Lodge (5327 Harding Highway East, Caledonia, OH)
