Mark Dennis Weiss

Mark Denis Weiss, 49, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, much too soon.
Mark was born on November 27, 1968 in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of Joan and Denis Weiss. He will be remembered forever by his children Jasmine Weiss, Chase Weiss (Ranissa), and Kris Chester (Cassandra), and their mother Peachue (Dwayne) Farrington, as well as his siblings Eric Weiss (Eman), Alan Weiss (Lynn), and Lori Esper (Jeff), his granddaughter Athena Weiss, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mark was preceded in death by his mother Joan Weiss.
Although born in Michigan, Mark and his family moved extensively throughout his childhood, living in Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky. Mark graduated high school in 1987 in Van Buren, Ohio, and later moved to North Carolina. Mark decided to move back to Ohio to be closer to his family, and his final residence was in Van Buren, Ohio where he lived with this long-time friend Keith Potteiger and his family.
As any of Mark’s friends and family knows, he was the definition of a free spirit, and he had a heart large enough to accommodate everyone in his life. Mark was an avid outdoorsman, spending many of his days kayaking in remote locations, and enjoying nature whenever and wherever he could. However, Mark’s true passion was his art. His day job consisted of house renovations and upgrades, building sets for plays, TV shows, and local news channels, where his talent excelled. But in his personal time, Mark was a remarkably talented painter, sculptor, and artist. Mark created artwork that was sought after by many, and it adorns the homes and businesses of many of his family, friends, and fans.
Many knew Mark as a spiritualist—they know that Mark is waiting in the next realm for his friends and family to arrive, to continue the journey with him, and to enjoy all that the Almighty has created. He waits with an open mind, and open spirit, and knowledge that the rest of us have yet to learn. A memorial celebration will be held on Saturday December 1, 2018 from 10:00am to 3:00p.m. at Country Inn & Suites by Radisson 903 Interstate Dr. Findlay, OH 45840.
