Marilyn M Hudgel, age 65 of Mt. Gilead, Ohio passed away Oct. 27, 2022, at her home. She was born Nov. 27, 1956, to the late Jay Dee Staley and Rachel Ratlif Staley in Mt. Gilead, and was married to Charles Richard Hudgel on March 17, 2000.
Marilyn is survived by a daughter Heidie (Nathan) Reeder from Bismarck, N.D., 2 stepchildren: Charles Richard Hudgel II, and Amy Lee Miller, 9 grandchildren: Carson, Wyatt, Morgan, Emillie, James, Juda, Kaleb, Keegan, and Lilah, 1 great grandson Theo, and 3 sisters: Carolyn Butler, Claudia Hylton, and Francis Easterday. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son John Ogle, 4 brothers (a fifth brother passed away in infancy), and 1 sister.
Marilyn worked in customer service in the medical department of nursing homes, as well as a waitress at Mt. Gilead’s Country Inn. She was an avid OSU fan and loved baking and cooking. Marilyn was kind-hearted, humble, and an all-around great person. She will be deeply missed.
