Marilyn J Fairchild

Marilyn J. Fairchild age 81 of Marion, died Thurs. Oct. 27, 2016 at Marion General Hospital. She was born June 15, 1935 to the late Emmett B. & Delma G. (Lowry) Cardwell. She married Richard H. Fairchild on May 1, 1955 and he died Sept. 29, 2016.

Mrs. Fairchild is survived by a daughter Sue (Kevin) Lytle of Marion, 2 grandchildren Ryan Lytle, Alex (Tera Simon) Lytle, a great grandchild Savannah Lytle, 3 step great grandchildren Colten, Damen, Kaiden, brother William Cardwell, Marion, close sister Barbara Johnston, Marion. She was preceded in death by a son Richard Fairchild, brother Robert Cardwell, sister Verna Cardwell.

Mrs. Fairchild attended Marion First Church of the Nazarene. She graduated from Marion Harding and received her associates degree from Marion Technical College. Mrs. Fairchild retired from GTE after 38 years and after retirement she continued to help her husbands business at Fairchild Auto Sales Inc. Mrs. Fairchild had a close relationship with her sister they enjoyed each others company and scratching lottery tickets together on Wednesdays.

A gathering of friends and family will be held for Marilyn and Richard Fairchild on Thursday Nov. 3, 2016 from 4pm-7pm at Marion First Church of the Nazarene 223 W. Church St. Marion, OH 43302. Memorial contributions may be made to Marion First Church of Nazarene Church.
