Marilyn S.I. Drake age 87 of Marion, died at Kingston Residence in Marion on Wed. Nov. 8, 2017.
On Jan. 25, 1930 she was born in Dayton to the late Fred and Helena (Kettler) Breno. She married Richard E. Drake on July 11,1953, he preceded her in death. Surviving are sons David (Pamela) Drake, Marion, Robb (Jill) Drake, Renton, WA and a daughter-in-law Margie Drake, Sandusky, 7 grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, two sisters Valerie (Richard) Brady, Vandalia, OH, Elaine Hoffman, Lewisberg, OH., a sister-in-law Ruby Breno, FL. She is preceded in death by a son James Drake and a brother Bill Breno.
She attended Salem Evangelical Church, Marion. Marilyn was a homemaker and had worked as a laborer at NCR, Dayton. Marilyn enjoyed spending time in Florida with her husband during the winter, traveling, camping and fishing in Upper Michigan and Canada. She was an avid reader. A special thank you to the fine people at Kingston Residence and Kindred Hospice for their care of Marilyn in her final days.
Graveside services will be held in the Marion Cemetery at a later date. Affordable Cremation Services were entrusted with the arrangements.
