Lorraine Taylor went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 6, 2019. A lifelong resident of Marion, she was born December 12, 1948 to James and Gertrude Taylor, who proceeded her in death. Also waiting to greet her are her younger sister Annette Dunn and beloved brother-in-law Leonard Thompson.
A Harding High School Graduate of the class of 1969, Lorraine loved and lived her life to the best of her ability. She dearly loved her family and all animals. Surviving her are her sister Geneva Thompson-Marion. She never had children of her own but loved her nieces and nephews, Angela Hoffer-Young, Brian (Karen) Hoffer, Crystal Hoffer, Brandy (Steve) Dunn-Walke, Ricky Chavarria and Chase Brey.
She was also Blessed with 7 great nieces and nephews, Jessica (Tyler) Pitchford, Amanda Young, Nathaniel Young, Jaxon Walke, Donovan Walke, Hayden and Kendall Chavarria.
Lorraine loved her pets and cared for many. She was an avid reader and loved her music, especially Elvis and Gospel. She has resided at The Presidential Center in Marion for the last 17 years and made many friends while playing Bingo, doing arts and crafts, and attending any activity. She had a very special aide that cared for her, Aricka, thank you so much.
A graveside service is being planned for 3 pm on August 28th at Chapel Heights Memory Garden with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later time.
