Lewis Mike Kite

March 28, 1949 — January 11, 2018

Lewis Mike Kite age 68 of Marion, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday January 11, 2018 at 2:00am after a long battle with COPD. He was born in Mercer, PA March 28, 1949 to Lewis E. and Ruth E. (McCarl) Kite who preceded him in death.
Twice married, first to Connie, who preceded him in death in 1990 then he married C. Sue (Lovell) Kite on December 12, 1992. They had 28 years together and he will be deeply missed.
Mike is survived by his daughter Michalene (Shaine) Lewis and their sons Seth and Nash of PA, twin sisters Cindy Angermier, Lindy (Gerald) Urey, step children Rusty Adams, Christine Kopta, Michelle Metzgar and Kimberley Lary and their children, all of PA., aunt and uncle Catherine and George Walton of IL.
Mike served in the US Navy as a Seabee, during the VietNam war. Upon his return home, he worked for several coal companies in PA, then moved to Marion, Ohio and worked for Central Soya, in many capacities and then several trucking companies. He retired from Farm Transport which was his favorite job working for the Fetter family. Mike had an incredible work ethic. He became family to anyone who knew him and would give you the shirt off his back.
Mike will be missed by many friends he made over the years to name a few, neighbors Rick and Sharon Miles, Aaron and Rose Thomson, Canada, Pat Denboer and Kevin Nieboer, MI., and all our dog family. He spent many years showing his beloved Keeshonden and later the Basenjis with Sue. He will be reunited with all of them at the Rainbow Bridge and his beloved friends and family who have passed. He spent time with his buddies at the Shovel Lounge and most recently the Town House. We will have a celebration of life Service held in Marion and later another in PA and there we will spread his cremains and he will be “HOME”
