Larry Roy Emerson, age 66, passed away unexpectedly October 17, 2016. Larry was born to the late Ralph and Phyllis (Dutton) Emerson June 14, 1950. Larry is preceded in death by parents; sisters, Patricia Temple and Kathy Stauffer; grandchild, Christopher Michael Klaiber.
Larry is survived by loving wife of 45 years April Emerson; daughters, Carrie (Troy) Ward and Nicole (Christopher Klaiber) Emerson; grandchildren, Lindsey Ward, Hunter Ward, and Wyatt Klaiber; sisters, Jackie (John) Nokes, Jean Johnson, Joanie Reed, Laurie Rojas, Sandy (Roger) Moody, and Charlene Sanders; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Larry had a passion for modeling cars and woodworking in his spare time. He also like to play horseshoes regularly when he could. He was a long time member of Marion’s American Legion Post 605. Larry worked with Marion Power Shovel for 15 years. Then moved on to Alloy Cast and Steel for a number of years, after went to Wood Plus and finished his working days with ConAgra until they closed up.
