Karen Marie Scott, 77 of Marion passed away on Friday May 26, 2023 at Legacy in Marion. Karen was born November 18, 1945 in Marion to the late Stanley and Mary Helen (Falvey) Kennard. She was married August 29, 1964 to Ronald Scott who survives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother Michael.
Karen is also survived by children Kelly Temple, Susan Scott, and Patrick Scott; grandchildren Taylor (Jakob) Hagan, Chase, Collin, Wesley, and Caden; and great grandchildren Holt and Brant.
Karen was a lifelong Marion resident and graduated from Marion Catholic High School in 1963. She received her degree as a Dental Assistant in 1965 from Elkhart University. Karen retired as a vice-president of Fahey Bank in Marion and prior to that worked at City Loan and Jer-Zee.
Karen enjoyed scrapbooking, cooking, and attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events.
