Karen Ann DeHavan Dever

Karen Ann DeHaven Dever, 70 of Marion passed away on Saturday April 14, 2018 at Marion General Hospital following a lengthy illness. Karen was born January 17, 1948 in Marion to the late Claire and Anna Mae (Tennar) DeHaven. She was married August 23, 1979 to Robert Dever who survives in Marion. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother Larry DeHaven.

Karen is also survived by children Ronald (Angela Hendrickson) Walter of Marion; Curtis (Ginger) Walter of Crestline; and Joshua (April Hicks) Dever of Marion; numerous grandchildren; and brothers Danny DeHaven of Morral and Tom (Paula) DeHaven of Marion.

Karen was primarily a homemaker and lived most of her life in Marion. She enjoyed doing crafts such as making wreaths and traveling, especially to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm in the Emmanual Baptist Church, 135 Fairview St., Marion with Pastor Dwight Hord officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Affordable Cremation Services of Ohio, 1701 Marion Williamsport Rd. is assisting the family with arrangements.
