Justin Ray Horner

Justin Ray “Red” Horner, 31 of Mansfield passed away unexpectedly on Friday November 17, 2023 at U.S. Samaritan Medical Center in Ashland, OH. Justin was born December 6, 1991 in Mansfield OH to the late Eugene J. Horner Sr. and Tabitha (Bentley) Roark of Mansfield. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother Dewey Eugene Horner; maternal grandmother Marilyn Sutherly; and paternal grandparents Grace Ann and Douglas Eugene Horner and uncle Douglas Horner Jr.

Justin is also survived by brothers Eugene J. (Jackie) Horner Jr. of Lorain and Joseph Horner of Kentucky; Maternal grandparents Dewey and Maleaha Bentley of Marion; aunts and uncles Becky and Eddie Moore of Pikeville, KY, Brenda and Robert McDonald of Newark, Louis and Beverly Bentley of Harold KY, Jessica Will of Marion, Roberta Horner of Mansfield, and Ladonna Horner of Mansfield; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Justin worked at East Kentucky Carpet for many years and moved to Mansfield 1 ½ years ago from Floyd County, KY. He enjoyed helping others when needed and loved roosters, and most of all is family.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday November 24, 2023 at 1:00 pm in the White Oaks Free Will Baptist Church, 859 White Oaks Rd. Marion with Pastor Kevin McCoy officiating and Brent Layne assisting. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
