Joseph C Parker, age 57 of Marion, Ohio passed away Feb. 16, 2023, at Kenton Rehab. and Nursing Center. He was born Dec. 10, 1965, to the late Richard Parker and Marlana Mockel in Manhasset, NY. Joseph met and fell in love with his wife Paulette Farlee Parker at the TC Dance Club in Baton Rouge, LA.
Joseph is survived by: his wife Paulette Farlee Parker, daughter Rachel Conover Parker, sisters: Marlana (James) Roundtree with children Ashley Roundtree and Bridgette Roundtree and Robin (Lawrence Williams) Parker with children Amber Williams and Gabrielle Williams, brother John Parker, nephew Josh (Jennifer) Keen with children Hannah Keen, Carley Keen, and Cassie Keen, Ryan (Courtney) Keen with children Nevaeh Clemons and Liam Keen, Greg (Renee) Farlee with children Kendra Farlee and Addison Farlee, niece Allyson (Francisco) Veliz with children Kingston Veliz, Kaiser Veliz, and Kenzleigh Veliz, In-laws Dale and Theresa Farlee and Gayle Keen. He was preceded in death by: his parents, daughter Cassandra Elizabeth Parker, brother Richard Parker, and sister Kathy Adkins.
Joseph graduated from Istrouma High School in Baton Rouge, LA in 1983. He was an avid member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Baton Rouge and was very active in the Baton Rouge Lutheran School. Joseph was a restaurant manager for 20 years and worked in construction for 5 years.
Joseph enjoyed art and working with computers. He loved to go to Little Wars where he would obtain Warhammer figurines that he would paint himself. He enjoyed reading as well as taking charge of school projects.
Affordable Cremation Services of Ohio was honored to make arrangements for Joseph’s family. Services will be held at Emanual Lutheran Church 241 South Prospect Street Marion, OH 43302 on Thursday Feb. 23rd for visitation at 1pm and services at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation would be made in his name to American Diabetes Association.
