John Henry Green was born in Cawford County to Paul M. Green and Lucile Kathryn (Rossman) Green, who both preceded him in death. John had one sister, Mary Louise Albright who preceded him in death. John married Penelope J. Stuckey in Bucyrus on October 7, 1962 and she survives in Marion. He is survived by nieces and nephews: Duane Albright of Grant Pass, Oregon, Denice K. (Randal) Stuckert, ronald Albright, sherry Albright; and Jennifer (Taylor Kimple) Sayers, Andrew (Carrie) Sayers of Columbus and sister in law Patricia Chambers of Westerville, OH
He graduated from the former Whetstone High School 1951. John served in the US Army from 1954-1957 in Japan. He farmed in Marion County for 50 plus years and retired from farming in 2009. For the past three years, he was a resident at Kingston Residence of Marion. He was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church, Bucyrus, OH.
