John M. Freeman age 73, of Marion, died on April 19, 2019 at Kobacker House, Columbus surrounded by his love ones.
He was born on September 5, 1945 to the late Virgil and Bessie (Lockwood) Freeman. John is survived by his children Nicole (Jared) Mitchell, Rebecca Hill, Tom Hill, Benjamin Freeman and Ryan (Jenna) Hill, grandchildren Kiryn, Alec and Avianna, brothers Paul, Kenneth, Bob, James and sister Lorretta. He is preceded in death by brothers Denny, Don, Phillip and Forrest and a sister Barb.
John owned and operated All Service Plumbing & Heating in Marion for over 20 years. He was a member of the VFW 3313, American Legion 162, the Eagles and was a supporter of the FOP. He enjoyed western movies, fishing, the outdoors, tinkering in the garage and playing cards with his family. John was a family-oriented man and a very giving person. He loved the holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas, as these holidays included Turkey and all the trimmings.
Most of all, John aka 'Daddy', aka 'Papaw', aka 'Papa J', loved his children and grandchildren. He would do and has done, anything for them. He was loved by everyone, and will be forever missed by those who knew him.
