Jimmie Colby

Jimmie Colby of Marion, Ohio passed on July 28, 2017. He was born in Oak Hill, Ohio on January 11, 1944 to the late Thomas (Irene) Colby. He was retired from ODOT and had previously worked at Tecumseh for 17 years. He was a father, musician, and a U.S. Marine.
He is survived by his children, Lori (Marc) Jolliff of Buford, Georgia, James (Roxana) Colby of Columbus, Ohio, and Scott (Desiree) Colby of Granville, Ohio, all whom are children from his December 18, 1964 marriage to June (Mann) Colby and he is survived by grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He is also survived by his wife, Phyllis of Marion, Ohio, and he is survived by his brothers, Thomas Lynn Colby of Canton, Ohio and Britton Dean Colby of Marion, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Merrill Colby, Robert Colby, and twin brother-John Colby.
In accordance with his wishes, a simple Memorial Service in his honor will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 1 PM in the Good Faith Baptist Church, 706 East Mark Street, Marion, Ohio with Reverend Slone officiating. In lieu of flowers and/or charitable contributions, Mr. Colby requested that those wishing to honor him, simply, “Thank & Remember a Military Veteran of your choice for their service.”
