Jason Matthew Cage, age 58, passed away at Marion General Hospital on Friday, October 7, 2022.
On Sept. 23, 1964, Jason was born in Evansville, IN. He was the son of George L Cage Sr. and Dorris Jean Reynolds. Jason graduated from Marion Catholic School in 1982. He worked for a brick-laying company under Glenn Gary.
Jason enjoyed and was an enthusiast for the outdoors. He loved to travel around to different wildernesses to camp out under the stars. During the daytime, Jason loved to hunt and fish anytime and anywhere he could. Buck season was his favorite hunting season, it didn’t matter if it was gun or bow season. Jason was an avid fisherman as well and he would pass on his knowledge of scaling and cleaning fish to his close friends and family. Jason was known for always wearing his famous bandannas and baseball caps. He was greatly loved and will be missed by many.
Jason will be missed by his siblings: Cynthia (Thomas) Ford, Marilyn Campbell, Kathy Cage, and Lee (Tammy) Cage; aunts: Emma Roberts and Eugenia Williams; best friend, Dane (Karen); numerous nieces and nephews, along with great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Jason was preceded in death by his siblings: George Cage, James Craig, Leland Cage, and Tracy Cage.
Services will be held privately by the family.
