Janet Elizabeth Masteller, 88 of Marion passed away peacefully on Sunday March 7, 2021 at home following an extended illness. Janet was born July 13, 1932 in Columbus to the late Loren and Ruth (Shannon) Richmond. She was also preceded in death by her husband Gordon Glenn Masteller August 9, 2009 as well as brothers Dean, Bob Bill, and Tullie Richmond.
Janet is survived by children, Jeff (Linda) Masteller of Lancaster, Cynthia Masteller of Akron, Greg (Martha) Masteller of Marion and Heather (Van) Hylton of Columbus; grandchildren Jennifer, Jason, Sarah, Nathan, Chris, Alex, and Derek, as well as great grandchildren.
Janet was a United States renown sculptor, doll maker and antiques doll restorationist as well as a key figure in several Doll Associations, also noted in the Who’s Who of America. She was instrumental in the development of the Powell Historical Society and other historical projects.
A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date at Grace Harvest Community Church in Marion, Ohio as well as a burial in Union Cemetery, Columbus. The family suggests memorial contributions in memory of Janet be made to Mid-Ohio Food Bank.
