James M. White, 88 of Marion passed away on Thursday October 31, 2019 at home. James was born January 22, 1931 in Marion to the late Joseph C. and Verna Mae (Hartley) White. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Irene White, one daughter, one son, four brothers, and two great grandchildren.
James is survived by two sons Dick (Barb) White and Terry (Linda) White both of Marion; his companion dog "JoJo"; two brothers Hershel White of Big Island and Butch White of Marion; two sisters Virgie Eddington and Mary Lou White of Marion; eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
James formerly worked with Georgia Pacific in Florida and last worked at Boise Cascade in Marion where he was the first employee. James lived in California and Florida prior to moving back to Marion. He enjoyed doing hauling for people and mowing yards.
Burial will be held at Little Sandusky Cemetery at a later date. The family would like to thank Ohio Health Hospice for their wonderful care. Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.cremationservicesofohio.com and memorials may be made to Ohio Health Hospice.
