J D Smith, age 59 of Marion, OH passed away June 27, 2023, at home. He was born December 7, 1963, to the late Billy Ray Smith and Alice Mae Thompson in Marion.
J D is survived by daughter Jamie Payne, sons: Billy Smith Sr. and Josh Hughes, 7 grandchildren: Aaron Jones, Billy Smith Jr., Prestyn Smith, Reagan Hughes, Keegan Hughes, Deacon Hughes, and Breagan Hughes, 3 great-grandchildren: Asher, Sophya, and Grystyn, and sister Vicki (Hobie) Smith Grady. He was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Lee Jones Smith and his parents.
J D worked as a tow motor driver for the former Penske Logistics Company. He enjoyed camping, fishing, riding his motorcycle, relaxing around bon fires, and doing “scratch offs”.
