J. Steven Caldwell, age 58 of Marion died at Mount Caramel St. Ann's Hospital in Columbus on Saturday October 8, 2016 at 3:00am. He was born on December 25, 1957 in Marion to Robert Caldwell who survives in Florida and Sally (Pask) Caldwell who survives in Marion.
Mr. Caldwell is also survived by a fiance Sheila K. Thomas of Marion, son Jacob (Melissa) Caldwell, Marion, daughter Justine Pinkerton, Marion, two grandchildren Sophia Pinkerton, Harper Hundley, a brother Michael Caldwell and a sister Elizabeth “Betsy” Caldwell.
Mr. Caldwell graduated from Ridgedale High School. He retired in 2011 as a security guard from Nucor Steel. For hobbies he enjoyed building, selling and racing off shore race boats. Mr. Caldwell earned three world speed records and helped build the Genius Glider.
Mr. Caldwell was cremated and there are no services. Memorial contributions may be made to Affordable Cremation Services of Ohio 1701 Marion-Williamsport Rd. East Marion, OH 43302 in memory of Steven J. Caldwell.
