Harold Dean Hickman

Harold Dean Hickman, 75 of Marion passed away on December 18, 2017 at Marion General Hospital, his death was unexpected. Dean was born Feb. 12, 1942 in Hazard, KY to the late Dennis and Minnie (Craft) Hickman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings.
Dean is survived by wife Karen (Runkle) Hickman; daughter Brianna Colleen (Rodney Smith) Hickman of Mt. Vernon; son Jeffrey Dean Hickman of Ashley; step son Kevin Lane of Miami, FL; 5 grandchildren; sister Eleanor Gilbert of North Carolina; special friend Michael Markley of Marion; and his very special pet dog “Pogo”
Dean was a brick and block layer (Mason) for many years. He lived in Kentucky and moved to Indiana at a young age where he was raised. Dean was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the VFW Post 3313, Moose Lodge #889, and the American Legion Post #584. He enjoyed darts as well as fishing and hunting when he was younger.
There will be no formal services at this time and Affordable Cremation Services of Ohio, 1701 Marion Williamsport Rd. is assisting the family with arrangements. Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.cremationservicesofohio.com .
