Harley E. Large Sr

Harley Eugene Large Sr. age 75 of Marion, died on January 19, 2021, in Marion General Hospital. He was born September 28, 1945, in Marion to Leo and Francis (Everly) Large. Harley married Roselyn (Skatzes) Large and she preceded him in death.

Surviving are two daughters Tammy (Bobby) Slone, Piketon, OH, Amy Crawford (Walter Baker), Marion, OH, son Harley “Bud” (Peggy) Large Jr., Marion, OH. 17 grandchildren James Large, Steven Slone, Columbus Slone, Christopher (Renee) Crawford, Megan (Drew Brown) Easterday, Haley (Jake Malone) Emerson, Kyle and Tyler Baker, Stephanie Mollett, Kelsie (Josh) Turner, Josh Cunningham, Shayla (Ryan) Cook, Brandon (Brittany Smith) Large, Alex (Ashton Leibengood) Large, Kayla (Michael) Forry and Alisha (Nash) Fry., 31 great grandchildren Coby, James, Ethan, Mahala, Mason, Mathew, Bently, Lincoln, Kearra, Charles, Charlotte, Robert, Camden Paxton, Ayden, Jaelynne, Remington, Raegan, Addison, Chase, Jullian, Rosealee, Legend, Beccalynn, Henley, Kayden, Failynn, Jaxson, Emmalynn, Kenton, Karlena, 2 sisters Pam Brown, Leah Abrams,3 brother-in-laws John Taylor, Bruce Underwood, and Ken Nichols. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Rebecca Cunningham, a granddaughter Shayna Crawford, brother Dallas Large, sisters Beverly Taylor, Barb Edwards, Darlene Underwood, brother-in-laws Jack Brown, and Gene Abrams.

Harley was a retired janitor from Marion General Hospital. He had also worked as a janitor for Silver Street School and Walmart. For hobbies, he enjoyed fishing, bingo, playing cards, and watching wrestling. He loved spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed spending time and shopping with Edna Louck.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 23, 2021, at 10 am in Richland Road Church of Christ with Pastor Russell Howard officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 am-10 am at the church 535 Richland Rd. Marion, OH 43302. (Masks are recommended) Burial will follow at Grand Praire.
