Gregory Neal Lute

June 22, 1966 — June 24, 2022

Gregory Neal Lute passed away June 24, 2022, surrounded by loving family following a 19-month battle with cancer.
He was born June 22, 1966, in Portsmouth, OH, to Donna Gale Warman Wells and Charles Evan Lute in Portsmouth, OH. The family moved to Marion and he graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1984. He worked at Odd Lots and retired from Eaton in Marion prior to moving to Plain City where he worked at Big Lots and Kroger. He was preceded in death by stepparents Judy Lute and Dick Wells
He was an avid sports fan and particularly enjoyed rooting on his football Buckeyes and Browns. He greatly enjoyed holiday celebrations and preparing for family dinners. He loved Christmas and could sometimes be found enjoying Christmas music at various times of the year. But at his heart, he was a family man who cherished spending time with loved ones.
Greg was the father of Misty Nicole Lute Stitt and the adoring grandfather of Keegan, Kason, Konnor, Brent, Jr., Greyson, Kyalynn, Layton and Lexee.
He was a big brother to Kim Lute and Scott (Lindsay) Wells. He was a fun-loving uncle to Madison (Aaron) Lawson, and Hayden, Ryleigh and Parker Wells.
