Gregory L Betz

Gregory L. Betz, age 71 of Marion passed peacefully surrounded by family on December 27, 2018 at Riverside Hospital. After a battle with Wegener's (GPA) Disease. During his life, Gregg was a track athlete, a mechanic in the Air Force who served in Vietnam and a dedicated Whirlpool employee until retirement in 2008. In retirement, he was an accomplished World and Ohio State horseshoe pitching champion. A winner of E Class Sr. Men class in Knoxville, TN in 2012. He was a member of the Marion & Hardin County horse shoe club.

Gregg is survived and will be missed by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of almost 52 years, Patricia Betz, four children Lorraine Betz, Geoffrey Betz, Sandra Betz, Janel Burkhart, eleven grandchildren, Faithe Long, Noah Watson, Briley Foust, Gabreil Tewell, Tomie Tewell, Madison Honeycutt, Brianna Wibley, Garret Lowry, Braydon Lowry, Korben Lowry, Samantha Holycross, four great grandchildren, Martin Perez III, Luna Lawson, Justin Martin Jr., Oliver Martin, brother Bruce Betz and sister Carolyn Miller.
