Granville Willard Rose

Granville Willard Rose, age 87, passed away September 18, 2022, at Marion General Hospital. Granville was born to the late Alonzo and Merlin (Rife) Rose February 8, 1935, in Bradshaw West Virginia. Granville is preceded in death by parents; spouse, Johnnie Mae Rose; granddaughter, Jenn; son-in-law, David Grounds and numerous brothers and sisters.
Granville is survived by daughters, Kimberly Grounds, Tina Blair, and Lisa (John) Howard; sister, Jan Wilson; grandchildren, Amber, Jennifer, Crystal, Jessica, Tiffany, Wesley, Noah, Cory, Samantha, Cody, Erin, and Megan; ex son-in-law, Ron Brown; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
Granville was a veteran in the American Army. He worked as a police officer in Laeger, West Virginia for 28 years. He loved to collect guns and admired vintage cars. He was a wheeler and dealer and loved a good deal. He will be deeply missed by the whole family.
Visiting hours are at the Marion First Church of Nazarene September 21, from 3PM-5PM. There will be a service at 5PM following the visiting hours. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to the Church. Moments of remembrance may be left online.
